Brecher launches new Private Wealth service

by on

Two highly-experienced tax practitioners have joined Brecher LLP, as the Mayfair-based boutique law firm launches a new Private Wealth practice.

Amanda Chapman specialises in tax planning for UK and non-UK domiciled individuals, with an emphasis on inheritance, capital gains and remittance planning. She also advises on a broad range of trust matters. She joins Brecher as a Partner, having been a Partner at Cripps LLP since 2013.

Amanda is joined at Brecher by her colleague at Cripps, chartered tax adviser Roger Holman who joins Brecher as a Director.  Both Amanda and Roger have been recognised as prominent figures in the Citywealth Leaders list.

Brecher, which last year marked its 20th anniversary, has been steadily growing its offering from a residential and commercial property-focused practice into a wider range of practice areas, including Corporate, Tax, Insolvency, Dispute Resolution, Planning and Construction.

The firm came runner-up in the Boutique Firm of Year category at The Lawyer Awards 2016.

With two of its three founding partners – Valerie and Andrew Brecher – listed as experts in the Spear’s 500 index of advisers to high-net-worth individuals, adding a private wealth capability is a logical step for the firm.

Brecher CEO Jacqueline Rook said:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Amanda and Roger to Brecher as they launch our new Private Wealth practice. Over the past two decades we have developed from a specialist property practice into one covering a wide range of client needs. Now, with Amanda and Roger’s significant experience and skill, we are proud to be able to offer our clients support with managing their wealth and tax affairs.”

“With expertise from both the legal and the accounting professions, Amanda and Roger will be able to offer a truly comprehensive service to clients.”

“While we continue to grow in size and in service offerings, we are staying true to our boutique nature, with the personalised service and fantastic work environment that only a firm like ours can offer.”

Chapman and Holman will work to develop the Private Wealth practice, with further hires contemplated at associate level, with a view to creating a market-leading team able to advise Brecher’s many existing clients, both private individuals and lenders in this market, as well as attracting new clients to the firm.
