Nicky is a real estate finance lawyer with over 30 years’ experience. She is the firm’s Managing Partner and Head of Finance and responsible for training. Nicky acts mainly for lenders, predominantly on mid-market transactions.
She gives pragmatic, clear, straightforward commercial advice and particularly enjoys the management of large, time-pressured transactions where her organisational abilities, experience and attention to detail help in managing what can often be a fraught process.
Nicky is recommended in Legal 500 as someone who “articulates complex legal issues clearly” a skill much needed in the world of real-estate finance and development.
Nicky writes for the property and legal press and has been published in The Times, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph and the FT, Estates Gazette and The Lawyer Magazine. She was, for many years, The Lawyer magazine’s regular restaurant reviewer, managing to combine marketing with her other passion, eating out and writing about it. She can still tell you where you should eat out. She now writes about food and diet and has her own blog which can be found at thefoodjudge.com; her legal writing can be found at notentirelylegal.
