Nicky is a real estate finance lawyer with over three decades of experience. She is the firm’s managing partner, head of banking and finance and training partner.
On the legal side, Nicky has acted mainly for lenders on mid-market real estate development transactions, giving pragmatic, clear, straightforward commercial advice. Recommended in The Legal 500 as someone who “articulates complex legal issues clearly” she can help clients see the wood for the trees in the fast-paced and jargon-filled world of development finance.
Her well-honed organisational abilities, experience and attention to detail help to get transactions over the line as quickly as possible without sacrificing accuracy.
One of her roles is training the lawyers in the firm and she is passionate about providing Brecher lawyers with the tools they need to develop and grow, so that they can provide the level of service the firm demands from its lawyers.
A regular writer for the property and legal press, she been published in The Times, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, the FT, Estates Gazette and The Lawyer Magazine. She was, for many years, The Lawyer magazine’s regular restaurant reviewer, where she managed to combine business development with her passionate interest in food. She will still tell you where you should eat out. She also has her own restaurant review blog which can be found at thefoodjudge.com; her other writing can be found at notentirelylegal.
Nicky qualified in 1988 and joined Brecher in 2007.
