Anastasia is a specialist in banking and insolvency litigation, with extensive expertise in corporate recovery and contentious insolvency disputes.

She has a proven track record representing a diverse range of stakeholders, including secured lenders, receivers and insolvency practitioners in their various roles (liquidators, administrators, and trustees in bankruptcy), directors, and shareholders. Anastasia offers comprehensive advice across all stages of the corporate and personal insolvency process, ensuring strategic and effective outcomes.

Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of commercial litigation and insolvency-related disputes, with particular emphasis on banking litigation and corporate recovery matters. Anastasia’s expertise includes:

  • Advising secured lenders on enforcement strategies, including complex mortgage possession claims, money recovery actions, and the pursuit of guarantor claims, leveraging her deep understanding of secured transactions and security enforcement.
  • Representing insolvency practitioners in contentious disputes, including claims against former office holders for misfeasance, breach of fiduciary duty, and misconduct, as well as advising on the procedural and substantive aspects of administration, liquidation, and receivership.
  • Providing specialist advice on corporate recovery strategies, assisting lenders, companies and stakeholders in navigating financial distress through a range of formal and informal measures. This includes restructuring negotiations, and advising on options such as Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs), administration, and pre-pack sales.
  • Collaborating with lenders and insolvency practitioners to implement effective recovery plans aimed at maximising business continuity, protecting asset value, and minimising creditor losses.
  • Managing complex creditor negotiations and stakeholder communications to facilitate consensual resolutions and mitigate contentious disputes during the recovery process.
  • Advising on insolvency avoidance actions, including transactions at undervalue, preferences, and fraudulent trading claims, to recover value for creditors and stakeholders.
