Stephen is a partner in the planning team at Brecher and is a dual qualified solicitor and chartered town planner, with more than 30 years’ experience of planning and planning law. He spent nine years working as a planner with two local authorities before qualifying as a solicitor.
Stephen runs a broad-based planning practice acting for developers, local authorities and high net worth individuals. He deals with all aspects of planning and related law including new settlements and urban extensions, regeneration projects, compulsory purchase and judicial review.
Stephen is ranked as a leading individual in the legal directories and is described in this year’s Chambers Directory as “an outstanding planning lawyer with an excellent grasp of the law and the commercial reality” and in Legal 500 as “a go-to planning lawyer whether for advice, planning appeals or judicial review”.
