Celebrating 30 Years of Brecher LLP: A Legacy of Legal Excellence

by on

On 31st October 2025, Brecher proudly marks its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades as one of Mayfair’s leading law firms. Founded in 1995 by Andrew Brecher, his sister Valerie Brecher, and Jeremy Abram, the firm has grown into a trusted name in real estate and commercial law, renowned for its expertise, innovation, commerciality, and commitment to client service.

From its earliest days, Brecher built its reputation on combining technical excellence with a pragmatic, commercially minded approach to practicing law. Over the years, it has advised some of the UK’s most prominent developers, investors, lenders, and family offices, becoming synonymous with high-quality, partner-led service in one of London’s most competitive legal landscapes.

On its journey, the firm has also seen its leadership evolve from its original founding partners to a dynamic leadership group headed by its senior partner Andrew Brecher and its CEO Jacqui Rook, who continue to guide Brecher with a focus on diversification, growth, resilience, and maintaining the firm’s strong culture of commerciality and legal excellence.

As the firm celebrates this milestone, it also remembers with deep respect and affection Valerie Brecher, who sadly passed away on 14th October 2021. Valerie’s vision, professionalism, and warmth left an indelible mark on her colleagues and clients alike, and her legacy continues to shape the firm’s ethos.

Reflecting on the past three decades, Andrew Brecher commented:

“When we set out in 1995, our ambition was to build a firm that provided the highest quality legal advice, that understood our clients and their industry sectors, offering a commercial and pragmatic approach to their specific needs. Thirty years on, I am very proud of what we have achieved and in particular the way we have evolved from a niche Property focussed firm to a multi-disciplinary practice with strengths in Property Finance, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Private Wealth and Immigration. We are fortunate to have some wonderful loyal clients, many of whom have been with us these past three decades, and also to have a superb collection of lawyers and legal support staff whom it has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with.”

Brecher’s anniversary is not only a moment to look back with pride, but also to look forward with ambition. With our practice sectors continually evolving and new opportunities emerging, the firm remains dedicated to delivering exceptional advice, fostering long-term relationships, and staying at the forefront of London’s legal and commercial landscape.
